Silway 520 is a polydimethylsiloxane polymer manufactured to yield essentially linear polymers in a wide range of average kinematic viscosities. It is a colorless, transparent, odourless, and non-toxic oil liquid. The viscosity increases with the addition of the "n" value of the Si-O chain, ranging from a highly mobile liquid to a thick semisolid.
Synonyms: polydimethylsiloxane, dimethyl silicone oil, dimethicone, siloxane, PDMS, PMS.

As Defoamer: Low surface tension and chemical stability make it ideal for petrochemical, medical, food processing, and paper industries.
As Lubricant: Suitable for rubber, plastic bearings, and gears. Effective for high-temperature rolling friction between steel and other materials.
As Mold Release Agent: Provides easy demolding for rubber and plastic products, leaving a clean, smooth surface grain.
As Insulation Coating: When heat-treated at 250-300ºC on glass or ceramics, it forms a semi-permanent waterproof and insulation membrane.
